Your Role
As the Legal Counsel / Legal Business Partner, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on data privacy, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee data protection efforts, including GDPR compliance, data breach management, and DPIAs.
  • Provide expert legal advice on commercial contracts and ensure adherence to Belgian and European laws.
  • Act as company secretary, managing corporate records and legal documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks while coordinating litigation and disputes when necessary.
  • Represent the company with external stakeholders, including legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, from employment agreements to IT and franchising contracts.

 

Your Profile
To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • A Master’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
  • A broad experience in corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian and European legal frameworks; experience in the automotive or retail industry is a plus.
  • Fluency in Dutch and French, with professional proficiency in English.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to integrity and professionalism.
  • A specialization in data privacy or additional education in the field (preferred but not mandatory).
