We are looking for a Head of Logistics to join our Operations Support team! The position is responsible for overseeing all logistics operations related to vehicles, parts, and accessories for the Toyota and Lexus brands. The role ensures seamless, efficient, and high-quality logistics, delivery, and distribution to our dealer networks. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in logistics management and play a critical role in integrating BYD activities and managing a SAP migration for Toyota and Lexus.

 

Your role

  • Comprehensive Logistics Management:
    • Coordinate and supervise all logistics existing vehicle and parts activities across Toyota and Lexus.
    • Set up a new – separate – logistics platform (vehicles and parts) for the BYD brand.
    • Oversee the full logistics picture of all process flows, platforms and connecting tools and information communication (logistics architecture).
  • Stakeholder Liaison:
    • Act as a liaison between all stakeholders, including dealerships, logistic hubs, and external partners.
    • Serve as the primary logistics contact with other departments, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Budget & Efficiency:
    • Set up and manage the annual logistics budget.
    • Develop a strategic plan towards logistics in order to efficiently supply our dealerships.
  • Project Leadership & SAP Migration:
    • Lead and contribute to ongoing logistics projects, including investments in infrastructure and processes.
    • Act as a Key User during the SAP migration from SAP Gold to SAP VMS, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of new systems.
  • Team & Succession Planning:
    • Develop the logistics team, addressing staffing needs and preparing the team for future growth, particularly with the expanding BYD activities.

Your profile

  • Proficiency in logistics systems, stock management, and warehouse management.
  • Min. 5 years experience in logistics.
  • Up-to-date with the latest logistics trends and technology.
  • Experience in the automotive sector is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills, with the ability to build and maintain a high-performing logistics team.
  • A commercial mindset for collaboration with sales teams and other departments.
  • Solution-oriented with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Operational forecasting ability to anticipate and respond to logistics challenges.
  • Bilingual in French and Dutch, with fluency in English.
