We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team at Inchcape. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of HSE programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Your role

  • Conduct thorough risk analysis to identify potential hazards and implement effective action plans, in collaboration with the business.
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal HSE regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Inchcape Group to implement the Global HSE Management System, group-wide programs, stay up-to-date with Group's requirements, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and manage HSE programs and projects aimed at improving workplace safety and environmental performance.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on HSE KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in safety and environmental metrics.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE practices and policies.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Work effectively with (site) management and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, wellbeing and environmental stewardship.
  • Act as the official Preventieadviseur / Conseiller en Prévention and Milieucoördinator / Coordinateur Environnemental.
  • Actively participate in and support the "Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work", providing expertise and guidance to ensure workplace safety and wellbeing initiatives.

 

Your profile

  • Official certificate of "Preventieadviseur niveau II / Conseiller en Prevention niveau II"
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and capable of influencing operational management and the HSE culture changes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with ISO certified systems such as ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Fluent in Dutch or French, with a knowledge of the other language. Fluent in English.
