Introduction

As PR & Event Manager for BYD, you will be responsible for rolling out creative PR campaigns and organizing impactful events that resonate with our target audience and strengthen our brand identity. You’ll be part of a dynamic team within the fast-growing automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Public Relations & Brand Communication

  • Develop a PR roadmap for the BeLux market and coordinate its execution.
  • Manage press releases, press conferences, product launches, and influencer campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and opinion leaders.
  • Create inspiring content that reflects the brand’s vision on innovation, sustainability, and design.
  • Ensure broad visibility across various media channels: lifestyle, technology, news, etc.
  • Monitor the impact of PR activities and optimize based on data insights.

Event Management

  • Organize brand and press activities such as auto shows, dealer meetings, and product launches.
  • Coordinate all brand activations and sponsorships (Brussels Motor Show, summer activations…).
  • Support dealers in organizing local events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure flawless execution, including budget and logistics management.

Crisis Communication

  • Identify risks and proactively address sector-related and brand-specific issues.
  • Develop communication strategies for sensitive situations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in PR and events, preferably within the automotive industry
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch, French, and English
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram…)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Network of local influencers and Key Opinion Leaders
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term media relationships
