Junior Business Intelligence Support Officer

Job Summary: 

The Junior Business Intelligence (BI) Support officer will play a key role in supporting the BI team and ensuring the smooth operation of BI tools, systems, and  processes. (training will be provided). This position focuses on providing operational support, managing day-to-day tasks, assisting with business-as-usual (BAU) functions. Providing support on different in-house projects where we will improve our SAP system, data analytics platform and more. The team you will support, ensures a high quality service to all departments.
 

Your role:

  • Day-to-Day Operations Support: Provide ongoing support for the BI tools and systems in place, assisting the team with report generation, data management, and troubleshooting.
  • Assisting with Projects: Support the team in multiple projects .
  • Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Ensure that data used for reporting is accurate, reliable, and up to date by performing regular data checks and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis: Generate custom reports and support analytical tasks as requested by different departments, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaboration and Team Support: Assist BI analysts and other team members in the development and maintenance of BI reports and dashboards. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment during key transitions.
  • User Support and Training: Provide assistance and training to end-users on BI systems, tools, and reporting processes, ensuring they can effectively use available BI resources.
  • System Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of BI systems and tools, identifying potential areas for improvement or optimization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for BI processes, systems, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure consistency and continuity.
  • Support Change Management: Play an active role in the change management process by assisting with system updates, user transitions, and communication regarding new BI functionalities or tools

Your profile:
 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, office management or a related field (or an equivalent through work experience).

Experience:

  • A first experience through internships or work in Business Intelligence support or data analysis roles.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or SAP BusinessObjects is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge in MS Excel is a must.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI) and data visualization best practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines is a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Decent English and Fluent French or Fluent Dutch
  • Hands on mentality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
